A quiet place for people who love thinking through books.

Thoughtful, honest book reviews — fiction and non-fiction — for readers who enjoy ideas, emotions, and the questions books leave behind.

Books stay with us long after we finish them.
Sometimes it’s a character, sometimes an idea, sometimes just a feeling we can’t quite name. Sometimes we tend to remember the pain or the pleasure or the thrill for a few days after finishing a good book. Sometimes, for life, wherever we go, whatever we do, we see ourselves in those characters and them in us.

This space is for slowing down and thinking about books beyond the plot: what they’re really saying, are they overrated or underrated, what new books, authors, and genres could we try, when to pick which, and how they quietly connect to our own lives.

✨ What you’ll find here

🌸 Reviews that feel like conversations, not marketing

I write reviews the way readers share their feelings and opinions with each other — thoughtful, curious, and honest. Less “summary”, more “what it felt like”. For a non-fiction book, did it get the reader’s attention and inform them of challenging new perspectives or bitter truths people might want to run away from and help them learn something new? For a fiction book, does it amuse or entertain or make a reader’s pulse go up or leave the reader deeply empathizing – more like other books in the same genre or in other genres? From 1-star ratings (which is rare) to 5-star ratings (even rarer, usually give only for must-read books) you will find a calm, quiet place rich with meaning, impact, the power of words, and the beauty of how tha human brain reacts to sensory, lingual input here.

🧠 Ideas, themes, and patterns

Across novels, memoirs, psychology, and philosophy, I look for recurring themes — identity, ambition, loneliness, power, meaning. I do not write or upload what I do not understand and have not analyzed well enough.

🤖 Human insight, quietly supported by AI

AI helps surface patterns and themes, but every review is shaped by human reading, reflection, and care. With my familiarity of books that comes from my childhood days to my familiarity with data science, I use my skills to do the hard work, to help identify patterns, so the members of Ink & Inference can choose on their own which reading territories they like to check out and enjoy themselves.
