This book, World War Hulk, published in the year 2007, follows a few major events covered in prior comics in the Hulk/Marvel universe. The secret group of Avengers called the Illuminati, which includes Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Mr. Fantastic, and Black Bolt had shot The Hulk into space against his will and he had ended up on planet Sakaar. There, he began a new life, but that was also destroyed. Now, the Hulk comes back to Earth seeking revenge, to destroy those who shot him into space.
